Student Support - England and Wales
This website is for current and prospective students in England and Wales.  The Higher Education Student Support website will be of interrest to Students and Parents.  Scottish, Northern Ireland, EU and International Students need to use respective links below

Student Support - Scotland
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland deals with financial support and advice for eligible Scottish students in Higher Education throughout the United Kingdom, together with certain related roles in connection with loans, hardship funds and educational endowments.

Student Support - Northern Ireland
This service is for Higher Education Students who are funded through the five Northern Ireland Education Boards.  Students can access the progress of their application and financial assessment for support

Student Support - EU Students
If you are from another EU country, you can apply for financial help to cover the cost of tuition fees for studying in England, Northern Ireland or Wales. This website will help you to find out if you are eligible and the How to Apply page will provide you with a link to the EU Customer Service Team in Darlington and any necessary application forms.

UniMoney
The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) has launched a multimedia campaign aimed at highlighting the financial support available to students going into University from September 2008. The campaign encourages more young people to fulfil their potential and progress on to Higher Education and highlights the new and improved student finance package which will mean that once the system is fully up and running, an estimated 100,000 extra students per year will be entitled to non repayable grants (two thirds of eligible students).  The campaign is designed to debunk the myths around the financial support available to students going into higher education.  This link directs students and their parents towards an interactive DVD providing easy to access information on the Student Finance package, or a copy can be ordered free of charge, by calling 0800 587 8500.

Science & Technology Facilities Council
From 1 April 2007 the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils (CCLRC) and the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC) merged to form the Science and Technology Facilities Council.  The Council one of Europe's largest multidisciplinary research organisations supporting scientists and engineers world-wide. The Council operates world-class, large scale research facilities and provides strategic advice to the UK government on their development. It also manages international research projects in support of a broad cross-section of the UK research community.  The Council also directs, coordinates and funds research, education and training.
